From Little Things Big Things Grow.... 31/12/22
Christmas has now passed and it's time to get on with some plant propagation. Here are a few of my latest cuttings that I hope will become fabulous plants before Summer is done.Raising Indoor Plants, raising funds for Canteen 20/12/22
It's been a while since my last post. Covid and terrible weather definitely put a dampener on plant growing and selling. Summer is now meant to be here, so it's time to start propagating some new plants.Kundabung Markets 14/3/21
Despite the prospects of terrible weather we ventured back to Kundabung Markets on Sunday. Wow! we were surprised as the day was a scorcher! Unfortunately crowd numbers were low; so again plant sales weren't great. There were also a lot of succulent sellers around. People appear to like my new 'novelty' animal pots and also my hydroponic plants. I did manage to raise a further $50 for Canteen, so a worthwhile but slightly sunburnt morning.Kundabung Markets
Sunday was my first attempt at selling my plants via local markets. I had underestimated the number of people selling plants...stupid me. However, the experience did give me some new ideas as to how to market my baby plants. I shall be prepared for my next market experience. On the upside, I managed to raise $95 for Canteen; so the day was worthwhile.I am standing up to cancer with Canteen
I am Raising It to ensure young Aussies impacted by cancer still receive the support they need during this difficult and isolating time.
I have recently retired and am enjoying time in the garden. I enjoy propagating and raising succulents and seem to have become a 'crazy plant person'. I am going to sell my plants locally, on the Mid North Coast, and through family. All proceeds from my plant sales are being donated to Canteen.
Canteen supports young people living with cancer, whether it is their own diagnosis, or that of a parent or sibling.
Canteen is relying on Canteen Connect the online platform for counselling and peer to peer support during this even more challenging time in a young persons world. Now more than ever they need the support of Canteen.
Please help me help them, by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about Canteen, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
